Marcel Shell Bowl - Large

The large black Marcel bowl by Wouters & Hendrix for Serax is made from porcelain in the shape of a mussel, bringing an unexpected surrealist element to the table. The design pays tribute to Belgian artist Marcel Broodthaers, known for turning the mussel into an artistic symbol. Marcel embodies the idea behind Les Objets Mouleversants: functional tableware approached with the wit and imagination of Wouters & Hendrix’s jewellery.
With the help of Belgian design brand Serax, jewelry brand Wouters & Hendrix ventures into new territory with Les Objets Mouleversants, their collection of home jewelry. Wouters & Hendrix drew inspiration from surrealism, an art movement of the 1920s which explored dreamlike imagery. Each object thus embodies a certain playfulness. Les Objets Mouleversants is a collection of conversation pieces, adding the finishing touch to your table just like jewelry does in fashion.
Not oven safe. Dishwasher resistant. As many of these designs are finished by hand, this may lead to irregularities and is considered a part of the uniqueness of each piece.
