Craighton Berman is a Chicago designer and illustrator with roots in the DIY movement. Berman teaches product development at UIC and was the first designer to use Kickstarter to launch a product; since 2010 he has helped more than 350 creators start their own Kickstarter campaigns. Berman’s designs are form inspired by function, while maintaining a clean and minimal line. His line, Manual, has its origins in the slow food movement, and is based in contemplation, intention, and the simple pleasures of repetition.
