A comprehensive anthology celebrating the art of diabolical beings and their attendants.

Ed Simon's Pandemonium: The Illustrated History of Demonology offers an unprecedented view into Satan's extensive familial tree, analyzing angels who fell from grace from Asmodeus to Ziminiar. Featuring comprehensive entries on each individual demon, but also exploring the influence of iconic figures such as Beelzebub, Azazel, Lilith, and Moloch on Western religion, literature, and art, from the earliest scriptural references to the more subtle manifestations of contemporary times, this book stands as an exemplary tome of Lucifer's followers from Dante's The Divine Comedy to John Milton's Paradise Lost and all branches in between. Presenting little-seen illustrations from ancient treatises on demonology as well as renowned works by Western painting's greatest masters, Pandemonium celebrates the art of hell like never before.
