This unique game captures the essence of De Stijl art with its bold colors and geometric shapes realized in a 3D format. Consider it a hands-on Mondrian painting. The objective is to stack three blocks side by side in each row, alternating by 90 degrees with each layer. As blocks are removed and added, players create a constantly evolving composition. The last player to successfully remove and stack a block without causing the tower to collapse wins the game.
The tower is constructed from sustainably sourced rubberwood and can be enjoyed by two or more players. Recommended for ages 5 and up, the MoMA De Stijl Tumbling Tower was created by Monica Albornoz in partnership with MoMA and the MFA Products of Design program at the School of Visual Arts.
