The Carte Blanche cappuccino cup and matching saucer by Annebet Philips for Serax translate the familiar coffee cup into a playful porcelain form. Based on simple cardboard prototypes, the design retains the fold lines and uneven edges of the original model, accentuated by deliberately irregular, hand-painted black contours.
The result captures Philips’ signature hand-drawn design language and the spontaneity of a first sketch.
