From his youth, Brian Donnelly (born 1974), professionally known as KAWS, has been a graffiti artist. In 1996, he earned a BFA in illustration from the School of Visual Arts in New York. KAWS has partnered with prestigious brands like Supreme, Nike, and Comme des Garcons, and his pieces are housed in prestigious institutions, including the High Museum of Art in Atlanta and the Brooklyn Museum. He currently resides and creates in Brooklyn, New York.

Born in New Jersey and based in Brooklyn, KAWS is a graduate of SVA. Recent solo exhibitions include Brooklyn Museum, NY; Museum of Contemporary Art, Detroit; High Museum of Art, Atlanta; Fire Station, Qatar Museums, Doha. He has collaborated with brands and musicians ranging from General Mills and Nike to Supreme and Comme des Garçons, and Travis Scott to BTS.

Julian Cox is the deputy director at the Art Gallery of Ontario (AGO), Toronto.

Jim Shedden is he publications manager at the Art Gallery of Ontario (AGO), Toronto. He was previously vice president at Bruce Mau Design.

Mark Kingwell is a professor at the University of Toronto and has held visiting posts at Clare Hall, Cambridge, University of Chicago, University of California at Berkeley, and CUNY.
