Harry Allen for Areaware
Harry Allen was born in New Jersey, and attended the Pratt Institute where he received a Master’s Degree in Industrial Design. He then established Harry Allen Design, where he has since designed furniture, lighting, products and interiors for a wide variety of international clients. Harry’s work is in the permanent collection of the Museum of Modern Art and the Brooklyn, Denver and Philadelphia Museums of Art. His awards include the Brooklyn Museum of Art’s Modernism/Young Designer Award and two Industrial Design Society of America IDEA Awards.
Areaware creates objects and gifts for home, work, and play in collaboration with independent designers. They are dedicated to creating functional and uplifting objects, designed with integrity. Above all else, designers are at the heart of what they do.
