Marcel Shell Bowl - Medium

The medium black Marcel Shell Bowl by Wouters & Hendrix for Serax transforms the shape of a mussel into a functional porcelain bowl. Named after Belgian artist Marcel Broodthaers and his famous use of mussels in art, Marcel captures the humor and surrealism behind Les Objets Mouleversants. Even the collection name plays on moules, the French word for mussels.

With the help of Belgian design brand Serax, jewelry brand Wouters & Hendrix ventures into new territory with Les Objets Mouleversants, their collection of home jewelry. Wouters & Hendrix drew inspiration from surrealism, an art movement of the 1920s which explored dreamlike imagery. Each object thus embodies a certain playfulness. Les Objets Mouleversants is a collection of conversation pieces, adding the finishing touch to your table just like jewelry does in fashion.
