Blackwing

Blackwing's history can be traced back to the 1930s when the Eberhard Faber Pencil Company introduced the iconic 602 model. With its distinctive rectangular eraser, the pencil soon became synonymous with exceptional quality. Despite being discontinued in 1998 after a series of corporate changes, the Blackwing pencil remained highly sought after, with dedicated fans willing to pay up to $40 for a single one on eBay. In 2007, the Palomino line of pencils, made with Genuine Incense-cedar and premium Japanese graphite, garnered comparisons to the beloved Blackwing 602 and sparked a demand for the brand's revival. Drawing on over a century of family-run pencil industry expertise, the Blackwing pencils were reintroduced in 2010, and in the last decade, it has transformed from a single pencil to a cultural phenomenon. The Blackwing culture revolves around the pursuit of mindfulness and balance in our fast-paced lives.
