The Kenneth Josephson catalog was created to accompany the Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago exhibition of the renowned American photographer Kenneth Josephson. Part of the Chicago community and a professor at the School of the Art Institute, Josephson was an iconic figure of "set-up photography" - arranging and manipulating objects to create his art. This retrospective displays Josephson's career, from early work influenced by Aaron Siskind at the Illinois Institute of Technology's Institute of Design to trademark photos of postcards, photographs, and painted backdrops married with outdoor scenes, to his Polaroid SX-70 camera work.
The exhibition, Kenneth Josephson Retrospective,
was organized by Lynne Warren, Assistant Curator at the time.
