The curvilinear design of BLIP ensures that spoons, ladles and other utensils of varying sizes and lengths can be gracefully accommodated. Its name, derived from the sound of a drop in water, recalls the graceful silhouette and alludes to the luxurious aesthetic of this functional object.

LPWK for Alessi

Laura Polinoro, a Metaproject designer, graduated from DAMS in Bologna in 1989. That same year, she authored "L'officina Alessi.: Alberto Alessi and Alessandro Mendini: ten years of projects, 1980-1990". Subsequently, she teamed up with Alberto Alessi and Alessandro Mendini to create the Alessi Study Center (CSA) -- a lab for experimentation which welcomed professionals and emerging creatives from various backgrounds. Through workshops and collections, she promoted the metaproject approach. Laura Polinoro now leads the LPWK Design Studio, and acts as a visiting associate professor for Domus Academy and NABA.
