About the artwork: Much of Basquiat's work referenced popular culture. In This cartoon drawing of a dinosaur is adorned with Basquiat’s trademark symbol, a crown. The title, Pez Dispenser, refers to the confectionary company Pez whose dispensers were shaped like different pop culture characters.
