Special Edition of H.C. Westermann, the heavily illustrated catalogue of a retrospective exhibition for one of the most important American artists of the postwar era. The catalogue raisonné, written by Michael Rooks and Lynne Warren, documents all of the artist's known three-dimensional works. It includes critical essays by Michael Rooks, Lynne Warren, Robert Storr, and Dennis Adrian.

The catalogue was published in conjunction with an exhibition held at the Museum of Contemporary Art, Chicago and three other institutions between June 30, 2001 and Jan. 5, 2003./ Includes bibliographical references (pages 204-211) and indexes. This was the first major museum exhibition devoted to Westermann since 1979.

Eighty pages of colorful reproductions showcase the artist's works across their career, while a chronology depicts key moments in Westermann's life alongside historical events which were influential to their art. Additionally, a comprehensive bibliography and full exhibition history are included.
