About the Artisan

Cody Hudson

Chicago-based artist Cody Hudson skillfully bridges art and design, merging bold graphic lines with balanced compositions that blur the line between graphic and fine art. His work explores fundamental shapes, color, and space, often recalling Henri Matisse’s playful cut-outs. Spanning from prints to large murals, Hudson’s notable projects include a 2006 Chicago Transit Authority commission and a 2007 solo exhibition at the Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago. He also leads Struggle Inc., a design studio collaborating with brands like Nike and Stüssy, and bands such as Wilco and The Postal Service.
