Featured Essay Excerpts:
"Running quietly through everything he creates is the conviction that love leaves traces. That memory has weight. That places remember us." -Laura Herrera
"Duncan Robert Anderson's work evokes a life built on opposing forces. Land and stars. East and west. Love and loss. God and magic. Rich landscapes and architectural details of the Midwest and American South hint at Anderson's autobiography. To me, they communicate the familiar melancholy of belonging everywhere and nowhere all at once." -Suraiya Nathani Hossain
"In the middle of the life, suddenly we are found, suddenly the dross gives way to real meaning, to an awareness that there is always more in heaven and in earth than we dream of, and sometimes, just walking on down the road, it appears to us, it is with us." -Douglas Reichert Powell
